On being gay, ripped and handsome

Being good looking and lean are two of the most sought-after characteristics in the gay community for a potential partner or simply just a nice quickie. It's shallow, very materialistic and downright discriminating but hey, gay people are just men who happens to like other men who exudes the qualities of a man that instinct would tell a woman as a potential mate.

I was browsing through my friends list on FB and noticed that the profile pictures of my PLU friends and acquaintances are simply the epitome of what I have just described above. I am not sure if they have it in their genes but all of them are beautiful creatures with nice bodies and attractive demeanor. Of course the nice bodies are products of hours spent at the gym and the good-looking feature may be attributed to genes and beauty products that money can buy.

Regardless whether genetic or hard-earned, my point is, it has become mandatory for a gay man to become good-looking and carry a great and desirable body if not the leanest. It's a hard feat and accomplishing it would be like a trophy that you can brag anywhere and anytime with anyone.

I tried comparing myself to these guys and fortunately, I ain't lagging behind. I may not be the most good-looking one there is or the one who has the leanest body but based on experiences, I do get some people turned on by how I look. I am not bragging, I am just stating the truth. Through my determination and hard work with taking care of myself and how I look, I can therefore say that I can rank myself along with those people in my FB list.

Vanity for me is not a bad thing, because it will lead you to the right track of living a better life and the right track on taking care of your self. There is no one else out there who will take care of yourself but you alone, so now is the right time to do something about getting healthy, being active, having a desirable body and bangin' that hot guy from the gym... ^.^
